THE WORKSHOP IN BRIEF

The workshop will be divided into two parts.The first part will be theoretical and will be dedicated to explaining the distinctive features of the 2024 U.S. elections and their respective campaigns. Significant episodes and sociocultural factors that may have influenced the outcome will be taken into consideration. Basic notions about discourse analysis, useful for the next stage, will be provided.The second part will be interactive: participants will be divided in groups by our team, and will be asked to analyse interviews, statements and candidates' debates, thereby identifying critical points.
