The Caucasus is a sub-region of immense geopolitical significance attracting historically the attention of major global powers. In this conference, we will delve deeper into this dynamic region by analysing the reasons why such actors are trying to boost their sphere of influence and by focusing on the future scenarios.
With Giorgio Comai, senior researcher and data analyst at OBCT/CCI and member of the board of directors of Asiac (Italian Association for the study of Central Asia and the Caucasus); Tania Marocchi, director of the Secretariat of the Eastern Parneship Civil Society Forum, policy analyst and programme manager at European Policy Centre, and affiliated to the Institute for Central, Eastern and Balkan Europea; and Albert Bininachvili, adjunct associate professor of political science at Columbia University and University of Bologna.
