Roberta Bosu

Roberta Bosu is co-founder of OpportuniSid and currently Global Sustainability Communication Manager in Amsterdam at Avery Dennison Smartrac. She currently works part time as European Climate Pact Ambassador at the European Commission where she supports actions taken against climate change by various communities.

Elisabetta Gatti

Elisabetta Gatti is co-founder and Vice-President of OpportuniSid. After working as EU Communications Officer at the Europe Direct Contact Centre, and as European Government Affairs Policy Coordinator at Microsoft, she is currently Policy Analyst at Johnson&Johnson in Brussels.

Mrs Liz Galvez was a senior diplomat with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, taking early retirement in 2006 with the rank of Counsellor.  During her 33 year career, she served in a wide range of diplomatic jobs in London and several overseas postings, including Finland, Central America and Romania. She has spent 12 years working in multilateral diplomacy: UN Geneva, OSCE Vienna (arms control and conflict prevention/resolution negotiations) and UN New York. 

She set up and managed the Aspen Institute Romania until 2009, served as a course lecturer in Public Diplomacy and in Multilateral Negotiating Skills for DiploFoundation and is now a Senior Fellow of the Faculty of University of Malta. 

She speaks operational Spanish, Romanian and French.  She has a BA from the University of London in Latin and Spanish and an MSc degree from the University of London in Nationalism and Ethnic Conflict, and has successfully completed DiploFoundation courses on Internet Governance, Artificial Intelligence, and the Future of Meetings for Global Governance.

Alessandra Cardaci

Alessandra is Project Manager of Debating Europe. She has an international multidisciplinary background with a focus on EU affairs, holding a joint Master’s degree in European studies at the University of Bath and Sciences Po Paris. She has solid and successful experience in project management, business development and communication, having worked for the European Commission, as well as European and American not-for-profit organisations in Brussels and Berlin. She believes in the power of network, community, constructive criticism and cooperation. Alessandra speaks Italian, English and French fluently.

Silvia Santangelo

Silvia Maria Lucia Santangelo is Consigliere di Legazione at the Italian Permanent Representation of Italy to the International Organizations in Paris. She has been an Italian diplomat since 2007 and has served as deputy head of delegation for the human dimension and coordinator for the aspects related to the Ukranian crisis during the Italian Presidency at OCSE Permanent Council in 2018. She has also worked at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Italian Embassy in Algeri. 

Matilde Perotti

Matilde Perotti is a PhD Candidate in Social and Political Sciences at University Bocconi. She has obtained a double degree master in Public Policy and Human Development at the United Nations University in Maastricht. She is experienced in research and humanitarian fieldwork as, among other things, she has gathered experience in different NGOs operating with refugees.

Giulio Venneri

Giulio Venneri is an administrator at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels. He is now the Head of the “Center of Thematic Expertise on Rule of Law, Fundamental Rights and Democracy” in the Directorate General for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR). He has operated as team leader for political affairs and rule of law matters concerning Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina and has previously worked in the “Global Issues” unit at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
